TÜMAD conducts Road and Traffic Safety initiatives to reduce the interconnected risks of all movements, especially interactions between "pedestrians and vehicles" and "light and heavy vehicles," and to maintain efficient traffic flow.
Road and Traffic Safety
Safe driving training tailored to the vehicle class used by employees, and traffic safety awareness training for stakeholders are provided. Within this framework, a Traffic Management Plan (TMD_ISG_PLN.005) has been developed.
TÜMAD prioritizes the following requirements in its Road and Traffic Safety studies
- Determination of safe road gradients, safety kits, general and specific traffic signs, barriers, barriers, speed limits, vehicle right of way, and parking rules related to mining transportation routes,
- Determination of vehicle usage requirements suitable for road conditions and classes,
- Ensuring safe driving conditions in adverse weather conditions with visibility measures such as daytime running lights and vehicle roof lights,
- Determination of traffic loads and identification of peak hours,
- Prevention and management of fatigue,
- Determination and monitoring of vehicle selection and maintenance strategies,
- Monitoring of audit programs,
- Seeking solutions including engineering controls to reduce potential risks associated with road and user behavior.
